30 Portraits of Babies Using Window Light and Shadows

Me Ra Koh

I’m going to start with unpacking a handful of photos I took during our hands-on baby shoot so you can see how I set up the shots.  But make sure you look at ALL 30 Portraits of Babies Using Window Light and Shadows because our workshop ladies captured GREAT images that will totally inspire you!

PULL THE CURTAINS

Isn’t this mom and baby precious?  They are DARLING!  For this first set up, I pulled the curtains closed behind the mom and baby.  Why?  By pulling the curtains, I created shadows around them.  I also made sure our window light was falling just on the mom and baby versus the whole room.  With that single bit of window light, our eye is drawn to baby, but we “feel” mom’s love.

Me Ra Koh shows you how to accenuate your baby's story with 30 Portraits of Babies Using Window Light and Shadows
