Camera Settings

ISO 100, f/6.3, 6 sec exposure (this means the shutter stayed open for six seconds to record enough light)

Sony a7 camera body & FE 24-70mm f/4 ZA

Tip 1:  Grab your tripod.

If you don’t have a tripod, plan to use something stable to set your camera on, like your camera bag or a table.  The nice thing about using a tripod is versatility on where you want to point the camera.  Firework photos won’t come out with crisp sharpness if you shoot them hand held.

Tip 2: Use a Low ISO for Best Color Saturation

Since I’m using a tripod to allow for a slower shutter speed, I might as well take advantage of it and use a low ISO for best color saturation.
