Yay!!! I’m so excited for tomorrow!  It’s the launch of our popular online class How to Capture Magical Light!  Our Full Registration spots are SOLD OUT, but we do have 1 or 2 Shadow spots left if you want to come along!  (register by midnight tonight!)

Around 11am tomorrow, our students will get their first video and written lesson with the week’s photo exercise.  Get ready ladies!  Your creative spirit is going to be stretched, inspired and refreshed!  When you see that beautiful, golden light appear–you will be empowered with knowing how to capture it!

The ranch in TX was one of my recent moments of having fun with magical light.  The sun was starting to set and cast this beautiful glow on Brian and Blaze’s faces as they cast their fishing line.  Since they are facing the setting sun, the front of their body is illuminated.  But see how the backside of their body is in shadow?  Another great tip for slimming your subject!

When I moved in closer and got the sun behind them, look at what happened?  See how the sun flare and even sun rays came into the photo?  That happens when you are shooting right into the sun.  We are going to learn all about how this works starting tomorrow!

Teaching this online class was one of my favorite parts of last summer!  I LOVE watching how the transformation happens in each student, as she becomes more aware of light and how to capture the magic in light.  Insecurity is replaced with confidence with each week’s lesson and exercise!  Our awesome critique team is pointing out what you are doing well, what consistencies they see in your eye, and how to take your photos to the next level by changing a camera setting, your position to the light or even a fun idea that helps you get out of the box!  You can bet that I’ll be sharing some great Before and After results with all of you as we go, so stay tuned!
