Riding horses was Blaze’s dream, but it was also one of my biggest childhood fears!  Watch how mom works through this fear while Blaze’s dream comes true.  And through it all, you get to take in the breathtaking scenery of New Zealand that you have to see to believe.

But the best gem in this episode is Mr. Brian Sage.  He is a Kiwi legend and his ranch, River Valley in Taihape, is near the southern part of the north island.  A friend had met Brian Sage over the internet and suggested we go check out his ranch.  Our family was open to all ideas for this trip, but when I asked locals about how to find River Valley in Taihape…I found that this place is an unknown gem to even the locals.  Our family LOVES finding hidden treasures off the beaten path, let alone family horseback riding in New Zealand!

I LOVE what Mr. Sage shared with viewers as he drove us to the horse stables.  It’s captured moments like this that feel like magic.  You can’t plan for moments of wisdom like this.  You’ll see what I mean when you watch the episode.
